Vietnam Airlines has disclosed in its 2019 full-year accounts plans to offload its 49% holding in Cambodia Angkor Air, an investment made in 2009. The VN Express International website has reported the flag carrier’s decision to sell its Cambodia Angkor Air shareholding comes on top of reports it was seeking a 12 trillion dong (US$512 million) support package from the government to carry it through the COVID-19 crisis.
Its accounts also showed the SkyTeam alliance member planned to sell five A320 family aircraft by June 2020 to raise US$37 million.
China Southern Airlines [CSA] intended to operate all its services into and out of Beijing from the recently completed Daxing Airport by March 2021, FlightGlobal reported this week. Currently, CSA had 10% of its Beijing services at Daxing, with the remaining 90% to be progressively shifted from Capital Airport to the new airport.
Air New Zealand (Air NZ) said this week its reduced international network, which has been in place since the end of March, would be extended to June 30. Under the current schedule, Air NZ's international flying comprises seven flights a week to Australia, four flights a week to the Pacific Islands and seven long-haul services a week to Hong Kong, Los Angeles and Shanghai.
Boeing said this week it delivered 50 commercial aircraft in the three months to March 31, 2020: five 737s, 10 767s, six 777s and 29 787s. The figure was down from 149 commercial aircraft deliveries 12 months earlier.

FlightSafety will offer the courses for more than 20 fixed wing and helicopter types. In the Asia-Pacific, the global aviation training company operates learning centres, equipped with full flight simulators, in Australia, China, Hong Kong, India and Japan.
