The regulatory filing to the Bursa Malaysia said the company had "ongoing deliberations with a number of parties for joint ventures and collaborations that may result in additional investments in specific segments of the group's business".
"AAGB is evaluating these proposals and soon may reach a decision about the final form (which may be a combination thereof) as well as the amount to be raised," the statement said.
"Any decision made will take into account the company's business needs and the interests of the company, its shareholders and other stakeholders."
The AAGB statement was in response to Malaysia's The Star newspaper reporting AirAsia was in discussions with SK Corp about the South Korean conglomerate taking a 10% holding in the LCC group via a private placement at RM1 (US$0.23) a share.
