Boeing has named Marc Allen as its new chief strategy officer and senior vice president of strategy and corporate development. Read More » Allen had led the company’s proposed Embraer partnership before Boeing terminated the tie-up last April. He starts his new role on October 1. Boeing CEO, David Calhoun, said of Allen: "He will further build on the great work done by Greg Smith, who has led the function and set a lasting foundation for the benefit of our employees and stakeholders."
Boeing also has appointed Chris Raymond as its first chief sustainability officer. Like Allen, Raymond was a member of the senior executive team planning the integration of Embraer into the group. Raymond has been working on the company's sustainability strategy after Boeing walked away from the Embraer deal.
"Appointing a chief sustainability officer is an important next step as we continue to elevate and sharpen our focus on sustainability in partnership with our customers as well as across Boeing's operations, throughout our supply chain and in our communities," Calhoun said in a statement.
