"Whilst it is very sad to bid farewell to a 35-year-old brand and all that it stands for, the reality is in these straightened times we must focus on a single, world-leading premium travel brand in Cathay Pacific complemented by a single, low-cost leisure travel brand in HK Express," Healy said. Cathay’s forecast moving forward is regarded as optimistic by some analysts who said any deviation from that scenario meant there would be more cuts.
