Association of Asia-Pacific Airlines (AAPA) director general, Subhas Menon, told reporters yesterday he believed vaccinations for COVID-19 held the key to the reopening of international borders that remain largely closed as national governments tried to limit the spread of the virus. Read More » "Until the majority of the populations are vaccinated and immunised, it is difficult to see borders being opened," Menon said. “No one is safe until everyone is safe.” Menon noted estimates that showed developed countries were expected to have vaccinated the majority of their populations by the end of calendar 2021, while developing countries were likely to take a lot longer.
