Air New Zealand’s international passenger traffic collapsed by 97% in January

Air New Zealand's (Air NZ) monthly traffic report, published today, showed the airline flew 565,000 passengers on its domestic network in January, down 27.5%, from 780,000, in the same month a year ago. Read More » The figure was 33.3% below the 847,000 domestic passengers Air NZ transported in December 2020. Available seat kilometres, (ASK), declined 21% year-on-year for the reported period. Passenger load factor was 7.8 percentage points lower, at 77.9%. Air NZ's international passenger numbers collapsed by 97% year-on-year in January, to 18,000.
