IATA poll reports passengers keen to return to flying

Read More » The survey of about 4,000 people in 11 countries, conducted from February 15 to February 23, found 19% of respondents intended to travel immediately once the pandemic was contained, up from 15% in a September 2020 survey. The percentage of respondents who would wait a month or two to take an airline journey rose four percentage points to 38%, meaning more than half of those surveyed intended to travel within a few months of COVID-19 being contained. "As testing capacity increases and vaccine distribution grows, there is a clear expectation borders will re-open without quarantine measures," de Juniac told reporters during an online briefing. The survey found 81% of those who took part in the survey said being vaccinated would make them more likely to travel by air.
