Garuda Indonesia focuses on cargo to offset passenger losses

Garuda's regulatory filing was a response to questions from the Indonesian bourse after an audio recording of an address delivered to staff by Garuda Airlines CEO, Irfan Setiaputra, came into the hands of the media. Setiaputra reportedly told staff the SkyTeam alliance member may have to reduce its fleet by 50% to 70 aircraft, due to COVID-19. Garuda is investigating the source of the news leak.
