Japan Airlines installs touchless sensors on kiosks at 43 airports

Japan Airlines (JAL) has completed the installation of touchless sensors on automatic check-in kiosks and bag drop facilities at 43 airports across Japan to provide a safer and more secure air travel experience for passengers. Read More » The touchless sensors allow passengers to complete check-in and bag drop without touching the screen. JAL also has rolled out a program of antiviral and antibacterial coatings on the surfaces of airport counters, automatic check-in machines, lounges, wheelchairs, strollers and security checkpoint trays. The oneworld alliance member said it also has changed flight boarding procedures to minimise crowding at departure gates and to maintain social distancing.
