Boeing Company records a US$587 million net profit for latest three months

Boeing has recorded a net profit of US$587 million for the three months to June 30, a near $3 billion improvement from a net loss of $2.4 billion in the same quarter a year ago. Read More » Revenue climbed 44%, to $17 billion, Boeing said.  "As we share our second quarter results today, you will see our efforts are gaining traction and our recovery is accelerating, as reflected in improved revenue, earnings and cash flow, as well as stabilizing workforce levels," Boeing CEO, Dave Calhoun, said in a note to staff made public by the company. "While we still have a ways to go before a full rebound, it is encouraging to see the commercial market improving, enabled by continued vaccine distribution and increasing travel demand, particularly in domestic markets." Boeing delivered 79 commercial aircraft in the quarter, up from 20 aircraft a year ago.
