Royal Brunei Airlines puts planned flights to Indonesia on hold

Royal Brunei Airlines (RB) has delayed its proposed Bandar Seri Begawan to Jakarta and Surabaya services until September 15 "due to health and safety concerns". Read More » Previously, the airline had planned to commence once weekly flights to the two Indonesian cities from August 30 for passengers who met the strict entry criteria for travel to Brunei and Indonesia or their final destinations. RB said passengers impacted by the schedule change would be contacted to make the necessary arrangements. "The safety and security of our guests is of paramount importance to RB," the airline said. "We apologise for the inconvenience caused." Indonesia recorded 20,709 new COVID-19 infections yesterday, down from a peak of 56,757 cases in mid-July, World Health Organisation figures report.
