China Airlines and EVA Air to trial IATA Travel Pass

Taiwan's two largest carriers, China Airlines (CAL) and EVA Air, have announced they will trial the International Air Transport Association's (IATA) Travel Pass app. Read More » CAL said its trial would be conducted from August 30 to September 19 on eight rotations out of Taipei: five to North America, two to Europe and one to Singapore. EVA Air's trial will be on its Taipei-Paris route, beginning in September. EVA said it previously piloted the electronic health passport verification platform with Affinidi and AOKpass. It also is planning to join the health data exchange platform being built by Star Alliance. The IATA Travel Pass app allows passengers to identify the COVID-19 tests and/or vaccines they are required to have undergone or received before travel and to safely share their test and/or vaccination status with airlines and border agencies under secure digital conditions.
