Hong Kong suspends Philippine Airlines and Turkish Airlines services

Hong Kong has suspended flights from Istanbul and Manila, flown by Turkish Airlines and Philippine Airlines, respectively, for two weeks after passengers on two inbound flights tested positive to COVID-19. Read More » The Special Administrative Region's Centre for Health Protection (CHP) said Philippine Airlines flight PR300 from Manila on August 27 had three passengers test positive for COVID-19 upon arrival in Hong Kong. There also were three positive COVID-19 cases detected on arrival from Istanbul on Turkish Airlines TK83 on the same day. The Department of Health has invoked the prevention and control of disease regulations and prohibited the two carriers from operating into Hong Kong until September 11.
