All Nippon Airways records expanded air traffic demand in August

All Nippon Airways (ANA) flew 1.5 million passengers on its domestic network in August, up 9.3%, up from 1.4 million in July. Read More » It was the third straight month-on-month improvement in domestic passengers carried. The August figure was down 67.3%, from 4.5 million in the same month in 2019. Capacity, or available seat kilometres, was 58.8% of pre-COVID-19 levels. The Star Alliance member said international passenger numbers rose 15.5%, to 75,183 for the month from 65,071 in July. It was the sixth consecutive monthly improvement in ANA's international passenger traffic, although the August total was 91.9% below the 933,245 passengers flown in August 2019.
