Kuala Lumpur International Airport launches private COVID screening facility

International passengers arriving at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) are now able to avoid long waits for COVID-19 testing after the airport has opened a private facility with eight locations across the complex. Read More » The Health Screening Centre started operations on September 19. It is promising COVID-19 RTK results within 15 minutes, Rapid Molecular PCR results within an hour and RT-PCR results within three hours. The eight locations, run by BP Clinical Lab, will open in stages and testing will ultimately be available at five locations in the airport’s main terminal and three at KLIA2. All locations feature comfortable lounges where passengers can wait for their results. “We hope to further restore the confidence of passengers flying via our airports by enhancing the level of comfort and convenience throughout their journey,” said Malaysia Airports chairman, Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir.
