IATA’s 2021 diversity and inclusions awards, announced at its AGM in Boston, have gone to Air India executive director, Harpreet A. de Singh, as an inspirational role model and McLarens Aviation’s first female engineer in the Middle East and Asia region and Lalitya Dhavala, the high-flyer award winner. Japan Airlines’ environment, social and governance promotion manager, Michiko Otsu, is one of two people worldwide to be awarded a oneworld alliance scholarship for a new environmental sustainability training programme offered by the International Air Transport Association with the University of Geneva.
