Hong Kong’s Plaza Premium Group said its newest lounge at London Gatwick Airport reinforces its strategic presence in the UK and its growing foothold in Europe. Read More » The lounge at London’s second biggest airport joins other plaza premium lounges across Europe. Expansion will not stop there, Plaza Premium Group global business development director, Jonathon Song, said. “The opening of our first Plaza Premium Lounge in London Gatwick Airport presents very exciting opportunities for the Plaza Premium Group as we continue to grow our footprint in the UK and Europe,’’ Song said. “(The) UK’s fast and successful vaccination rollout has led to the recent relaxation of travel restrictions and the encouraging increase in international travel again for its citizens. Confidence is building, passenger numbers are regaining impressive growth, and Plaza Premium Group’s ambitions to extend its 360- degree world-class airport hospitality services and facilities in Europe are on track.” Located in Gatwick’s North Terminal, the 1,350 square metre lounge can accommodate up to 190 guests in a comfortable environment where they can relax and wine and dine before departure. Plaza Premium said its commitment to a safe and hygienic environment includes a wellbeing program with zoning for privacy and social distancing. Guests also can enjoy seamless dining experiences with Smart Order, a contactless food ordering system accessible via smart mobile devices.
