China moves closer to lifting 737 MAX flight ban: report

The Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) has told airlines it is satisfied with changes made to the 737 MAX and has asked for input feedback on proposed pilot procedures, according to Reuters. Read More » The news agency said it had seen a proposed airworthiness directive that outlined specific procedures for pilots if the need to respond to problems similar to those that caused two deadly crashes of the type emerged. The aviation regulator has asked airlines to respond to the proposal by November 26. Boeing executives have expressed optimism the MAX will receive the green light to return to Chinese skies by the end of the year. China is one of the last countries to allow the MAX to return service. A decision to do so would be a boost to the U.S. manufacturer.
