Read More » "The parties have agreed to settle all their disputes under and related to the aircraft purchase agreement and component solution agreement, subject to compliance with the terms of settlement," SpiceJet said. "All related proceedings before the UK Court and Execution proceedings before the Delhi High Court have been stayed and will be withdrawn upon compliance with the settlement terms.” In 2020, De Havilland sued SpiceJet in the High Court of London in a dispute over a 2017 purchase agreement for 25 DHC-8-400s. The court ruled in favour of De Havilland and said the Canada-based airframer was entitled to claim US$42.9 million in damages from the airline. De Havilland then went to the Delhi High Court in an effort to ensure SpiceJet complied with the High Court of London's decision.
