India extends international flight suspensions

India has delayed the resumption of scheduled international passenger flights until February 28, the country's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has said. Read More » Previously, the suspension of scheduled international passenger flights was due to expire on January 31. The circular said the restrictions will not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by the DGCA. Scheduled international flights to and from India have been suspended since March 2020, but air travel bubble flights, allowed under the country's Vande Bharat scheme, have been operating.
