Taiwan adds airport arrival testing to nine more countries

Taiwan's Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) said this week passengers arriving from nine countries - Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam – will have to wait for the results of a government funded rapid RT-PCR COVID-19 test at the airport. Passengers who test negative will complete their entry procedures and be transferred by quarantine vehicles to quarantine hotels or government quarantine facilities to complete quarantine. Those testing positive will be moved from airside by ambulance to a designated hospital or government quarantine facility. Entry restrictions for passengers travelling on other long-haul flights into Taiwan already are in place.
