Airbus customers accepted 30 aircraft in first month of 2022

The latest Airbus orders and deliveries report states customers ordered 22 A220 family aircraft and 14 A320neo family aircraft in January. Read More » Net orders at January 31 stood at -16, with cancelled orders for 50 A321neos and two A350-1000s previously held by Qatar Airways. Last month, Airbus confirmed it had terminated a contract with the Doha-headquartered carrier for 50 A321neo. The OEM also confirmed it had terminated delivery positions for the two A350-1000s "in full compliance with our rights". The Gulf airline is seeking compensation from Airbus in the UK courts for Qatar Airways A350s grounded by Qatari regulators due to blistered paint, cracked window frames and riveted areas and other issues. Airbus has rejected the complaints. The air framer delivered 30 commercial aircraft to 20 customers in January, compared with 21 deliveries in the same month a year ago.
