Embraer, Rolls-Royce and Wideroe announce zero emissions aircraft study

Embraer, Rolls-Royce and Scandinavian carrier, Wideroe, have signed a 12-month cooperation study to examine a zero emissions regional aircraft. Read More » The project will cover applications for new propulsion technologies and examine potential solutions – including all-electric, hydrogen fuel cell or hydrogen fuelled gas turbine powered aircraft, the partners said in a joint statement. "The aim of our collaboration is to create flight solutions that serve expanded market segments in a sustainable manner, Embraer Commercial Aviation CEO, Arjan Meijer, said. Rolls-Royce president for civil aerospace, Chris Cholerton, said the engine maker had an excellent working relationship with Embraer and Wideroe, and looked forward to deepening the collaboration.
