Embraer delays E175-E2 program by three years

Embraer has paused the development of its E175-E2 regional jet for three years. Read More » The entry into service of the aircraft is now planned for 2027-2028, Embraer said in a regulatory filing. "As in previous years, the re-programming of activities is associated with the ongoing U.S. mainline scope clause discussions with pilot unions regarding the maximum take-off weight (MTOW) limitation for aircraft with up to 76 seats together with current global market conditions for commercial aviation and continuing interest in the current E175 jet in the U.S. market," Embraer said. The other two members of the E2 family, the E190-E2 and E195-E2, were certified in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
