Changi airport passenger numbers dip from Omicron restrictions

Read More » The Singapore government suspended ticket sales for Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) flights from December 22 to January 20 in response to the Omicron outbreak. Although seat sales for VTL flights resumed on January 21, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) placed a limit on bookings of 50% of the allocated quota. Despite the month-on-month decline, the January figure was almost five times above the 145,000 passengers that passed through Changi's terminals in the same month in 2021.
