Hong Kong Airport reports 71,000 passengers for January

The airport processed 71,000 passengers for the reported month, the same number as January 2021 and less than half the 154,000 passengers recorded in December 2021. Airport Authority Hong Kong said cargo throughput fell 4.7% to 391,000 tonnes in January compared with a year earlier, and declined 18% from December's 477,000 tonnes due to flight reductions after the worldwide emergence of the Omicron variant of COVID-19.
