Malaysia Aviation Group appoints two new board directors

Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) has named two new non-executive directors to its board and its Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB) business. Read More » MAG said Tunku Alizakri bin Raja Muhammad Alias and Zaiviji Ismail bin Abdullah had joined the board on March 7. Alizakri is Malaysia Venture Capital Management Berhad (MAVCAP) chair and also a board member of four other companies. He was previously a CEO of the Employees Provident Fund of Malaysia (EPF). Zaiviji Ismail is the chairman of Cement Industries of Malaysia Berhad (CIMA) and Uniquest Ventures Pte Ltd in India. MAG group chairman, Tan Sri Wan Zulkiflee Wan Ariffin, said the two new directors will bring a wealth of experience and leadership to MAG. "The next few months will be critical for the group in terms of demand recovery as we anticipate the safe reopening of Malaysia’s borders," Ariffin said. "We will continue to enhance our services and capabilities within our airline and non-airline businesses to provide customised experiences and innovative solutions to all stakeholders involved in our journey."
