Read More » Jetstar's Australia and New Zealand business resumed nonstop flights between Australia and Bali yesterday with the first flight taking off from Melbourne with about 300 passengers on board a 787-8. “We are very excited to return to Bali today after two long years. We are confident Bali will quickly regain its position as our most popular international tourist destination now borders are open," Evans said. “Our recent Bali sale saw the biggest surge in bookings since 2016 and our recent surveys have consistently shown Bali is still the top international destination people wish to visit."

In other Jetstar news, the LCC group's Singapore-based unit, Jetstar Asia, started flying nonstop between Singapore and Perth last weekend. It was the first time in four years Jetstar Asia has operated the Singapore-Perth route. “While we have flown a handful of services in the past two years to support business in Perth, Jetstar Asia is very excited to officially add Perth back into our schedule," Jetstar Asia CEO, Bara Pasupathi, said.
