AerCap signed 102 lease agreements during the three months to March 31, 2022. The lessor completed 25 purchases (23 aircraft and two engines) and executed 30 sale transactions (26 aircraft, two engines and two helicopters) in the quarter.

Air Lease Corporation had 21 owned aircraft remaining in Russia as of March, which represented 3.4% of its fleet by net book value. Its leases with Russian airline customers were terminated following the sanctions imposed on Russia after it invaded Ukraine, the lessor said.

Airbus and Kawasaki Heavy Industries have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to work on a roadmap for the development of a hydrogen fuelled ecosystem. It includes aspects the production of hydrogen, delivery to airports and transfer to aircraft.

Plaza Premium Group (PPG) and dnata Group's marhaba have formed a joint venture to expand their international network. One of their first projects will be a new passenger lounge at Queen Alia International Airport in Amman, Jordan. “We are thrilled to join forces with PPG to bring our globally renowned airport hospitality services to more travellers across the world," dnata Group CEO, Steve Allen, said. PPG deputy CEO, Bora Isbulan, said the company expected to "yield more opportunities in the future through this collaboration".
