The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has certified the 251-tonne variant of the A330-800, FlightGlobal has reported, citing comments from the regulator and adding that an updated type certificate for the Airbus wide-body is expected to be published in the next few weeks.

Australia-based Oceania Biofuels will build a renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel bio-refinery in Gladstone, north Queensland, the state’s deputy premier, Stephen Miles, has announced. The facility will be Australia’s first commercial sustainable aviation fuel bio-refinery, he said.
