Emirates’ profits jump 43%

Emirates Airline of Dubai this month reported a profit of AED3.3 billion (US$900 million) for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2014. This was up 43% from a year earlier. Read More »

Total revenue for the financial year 2013-14 was a record-breaking AED82.6 billion (US$22.5 billion).

Emirates’ passenger numbers were up 13% and load factor was slightly down at 79.7% but this was to be expected in the face of a 15% increase in ASKs as a result of the carrier’s aggressive fleet expansion that saw the addition of 16 A380s, six B777-300ERs and two B777Fs to the fleet in 2013-14.

Emirates prides itself in having achieved its 26th consecutive year of profit in a financial year.
