Singapore Airlines and pilot union sign new agreement

Singapore Airlines (SIA) and the Air Line Pilots Association of Singapore (ALPA-S) have signed a new agreement that includes measures to return the basic salaries of the airline group’s cockpit crew to pre-COVID-19 levels by next January. Read More » Citing an airline spokesman, The Straits Times said the new agreement was activated on April 1. SIA reduced the salaries of its pilots at the start of the pandemic as it cut costs across the board at the airline group. The agreement was reached after air travel began to recover early this year. SIA has forecast passenger capacity at Singapore Airlines and Scoot will reach 61% of pre-COVID-19 levels this month.
