Singapore’s president calls for more flights in meeting with new South Korea president

Singapore president, Halimah Yacob, has asked new South Korea president, Yoon Suk-yeol, to consider increasing flights between the two countries amid strong demand for travel, The Straits Times newspaper reported in an interview with the head of state. Read More » Yacob was in Seoul late last week to attend Yoon's inauguration as president of South Korea. The two leaders had a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremonies. Singapore and South Korea allow individuals fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter their countries without the need to quarantine on arrival. Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs told the newspaper Yoon will “look into the possibility”.
