Orient Aviation learnt from someone at the top of Hong Kong’s Airport Authority that former chairman, Marvin Cheung did not resign from his position of Board Chairman for “health reasons”. Orient Aviaton learnt that Cheung was unhappy with appointments made to the board because he believed they did not have the experience required of Airport Authority board directors. Read More » At a requested meeting with Hong Kong’s chief executive, C. Y. Leung, in which Cheung hoped to discuss the issue of being overruled in his role as chairman,
cheung was told it was a done deal. Cheung decided that he, too, would do a deal and resigned before his full (extended) term was up. He has been replaced by Vincent Lo. Lo, a property developer, is a supporter of the chief executive. The Airport Authority said that Lo will be chairman for a year before roles with Hong Kong Trade Development Council chairman, Jack So.
