India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has re-issued an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) to Jet Airways that paves the way for the carrier to resume commercial airline operations. Read More » The DGCA’s restoration of Jet’s AOC follows recent proving flights conducted by the airline with a 737-800, registration VT-SXE. “The AOC was re-issued to the company on May 20, 2022,” the airline said. Jet Airways last flew in 2019, the year it shut down following financial collapse. Last June, India's National Company Law Tribunal approved a resolution plan for the carrier, led by Dubai-based entrepreneur, Murari Lal Jalan, and Florian Fritsch, founder of UK-headquartered investment fund Kalrock Capital.
