AirAsia Thailand will commence 11 times a week nonstop flights between Bangkok Suvarnabhumi and Kuala Lumpur from June 20. Read More » It is the LCC’s first international route from Suvarnabhumi from where it operates three domestic routes. “Our first international route being served from Suvarnabhumi Airport is a positive and exciting development, especially as it’s the popular Suvarnabhumi-Kuala Lumpur route,” AirAsia Thailand CEO, Santisuk Klongchaiya, said. “On top of Suvarnabhumi Airport being a major transit hub, with a variety of other options for flights, arrivals from Kuala Lumpur will have AirAsia’s extensive network of low-fare domestic routes to make onward journeys. Thailand is welcoming fully vaccinated visitors and no longer requires COVID-19 testing or quarantine, so we are confident this new route will be very well received.” The LCC also flies three times daily to Kuala Lumpur from its main hub at Bangkok’s Don Mueang airport.
