EVA Air posts 18.2% rise in passengers for May

Taiwan’s EVA Air flew 36,818 passengers last month, up 18.2% month-on-month from the 31,156 passengers it carried in April. Read More » The May numbers were 16.5% above the 31,613 passengers the Star Alliance member transported in the same month in 2021. Passenger load factor was 25.6% compared with 22.1% in April and 24.4% in May 2021, EVA said in its monthly traffic report. Passenger revenue for the 31 days was TW$769.5 million (US$25.9 million), an improvement of 17.5% from TW$654.7 million in April. In May 2019, EVA carried 1.1 million passengers, recorded a passenger load factor of 80.9% and generated TW$8.4 billion in passenger revenue.
