Boeing Commercial Airplanes CEO, Stan Deal, said the company is close to resuming deliveries of its 787 wide-body, Bloomberg news agency reported late last week, citing comments Deal made on the sidelines of a U.K. Aviation Club event. Boeing has not delivered a 787 since June 2021 as it worked through a manufacturing issue with the type. It is estimated about 120 completed 787s either are in storage or are being inspected.

Sabre has signed a partnership extension with Cathay Pacific Airways giving travel agencies connected to Sabre access to New Distribution Capability (NDC) content of the Hong Kong-headquartered carrier through the Sabre travel marketplace.

Gevo has secured a five-year contract to supply seven million gallons of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) per year to Finnair.

Pratt & Whitney Canada has successfully conducted a two-hour test flight on a Braathens Regional Airlines ATR 72-600 using 100% Neste sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to power the turboprop’s PW127M engines.

Accenture, American Express Global Business Travel and Shell have launched blockchain-powered digital sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) "book-and-claim" model for business travel. A pilot phase of the program aimed to demonstrate the application of blockchain technology in boosting demand for SAF among corporate travellers, the partners said.
