Fiji Airways to inaugurate non-stop Nadi-Vancouver from November

Fiji Airways will commence twice a week nonstop flights to Vancouver from its Nadi home hub on November 25, its 20th international destination. Read More » The airline said it is responding to strong demand for air travel following the opening of Fiji’s borders last December. “This is a very exciting development as we continue to explore ways to maximise returns not just for Fiji Airways but for the tourism industry and the Fijian economy,” Fiji Airways CEO, Andre Viljoen, said. “Canada is a new market with immense potential for tourism, trade and of course re-connecting Fijian families.” Before scheduled commercial flights start in November, Fiji Airways is planning a one-off trade delegation visit to Vancouver in August. “Returning to the skies does not just mean resuming existing routes. If we are to strengthen ourselves and grow as a business, we must invest in new markets and solidify our networks. Vancouver was the ideal choice for us,” Viljoen said.
