Air New Zealand CEO increases equity in nation’s flag carrier

Air New Zealand (AirNZ) CEO, Greg Foran, has paid NZ$1.502 million (US$917,974) for 2.66 million shares in the country’s flag carrier, regulatory filings to the Australian and New Zealand stock exchanges show. Read More » The shares were transacted in two on-market trades: June 29 for 1.64 million shares at NZ$918,080.01 and June 30 for 1.02 million shares at NZ$584,193.73. The share purchases increased Foran's equity in Air NZ to 4.13 million shares. Foran became a shareholder in the airline he leads in May after he bought 1.5 million AirNZ shares for NZ$1 million via two on-market trades. The CEO also holds 2.3 million rights convertible to ordinary shares.
