Malaysia Airlines extends agreement with SITA for five years

Malaysia Airlines Berhad (MAB) has extended its contract with travel technology provider SITA for five years. Read More » The partnership now includes MAB’s use of the SITA Connect platform. “As the industry’s recovery takes hold, we are excited to be able to ramp up our operational capabilities with the support of our trusted technology partner SITA,” MAB group CEO, Captain Izham Ismail, said. “Boosting the connectivity, security and agility of the backbone technologies that support Malaysia Airlines will ensure we are ready for the influx of passengers in coming months and are poised to deliver a seamless travel experience for all.” SITA president Asia-Pacific, Sumesh Patel, said SITA “is excited to renew the relationship once more by upgrading several services that ultimately will help deliver a smooth passenger process”. “Operational efficiency is under the microscope in the wake of the pandemic. We are committed to helping the industry recover with smart solutions that are resilient, agile, and cost-effective,” Patel said.
