July 20th 2022
Embraer expects airlines will require 10,950 new aircraft up to 150 seats in the next two decades to meet forecast growth in air travel. Read More » The 2022 Embraer 20-Year Market Outlook divides the forecast into 8,670 jet aircraft and 2,280 turboprops. Asia-Pacific customers are predicted to take delivery of 2,230 jet aircraft with up to 150 seats, second only to North America (2,740). The region represents the biggest market for new turboprops with 960 aircraft deliveries expected from 2022 to 2041, the report estimates. “Matching capacity to demand is the most sustainable way to capture growth opportunities in the post-pandemic world,” Embraer said. “Smaller airplanes are a key element for more sustainable air travel while also enhancing connectivity.” The 2022 forecast reports an increase of 50 aircraft, or half a per cent, from the 10,900 aircraft forecast for the next 20 years in Embraer’s November 2021 future market outlook.
