Cebu Pacific narrows loss, offers optimistic outlook

Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) has reported a net loss of 9.5 billion peso (US$170.8 million) for the six months to June 30 compared with a net loss of 13.8 billion peso in the same months in 2021. Read More » Revenue increased 250%, to 20.7 billion peso, Cebu Pacific told the Philippines Stock Exchange. “Amidst the risks posed by expensive jet fuel, peso depreciation and interest rate hikes, CEB remains cautiously optimistic we soon can turn the tide as domestic demand looks robust and international borders continue to reopen,” Cebu Pacific chief financial officer, Mark Cezar, said. “We continue to stay true to our commitment of providing accessible air transport service for everyone.”
