Japan Airlines posts 19% improvement in domestic demand

Japan Airlines (JAL) flew 2.5 million domestic passengers in July, the highest monthly total since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Read More » The July results were a 19% month-on-month improvement from 2.1 million domestic flyers in June and close to double the 1.3 million passengers flown in the same month in 2021. Domestic passenger load factor for the 31 days was 62.6%, up from 56.6% in June and 48.6% in July 2021. Compared with pre-COVID-19 levels, the oneworld alliance member's July domestic passenger total was 83.8% of the three million passengers it transported in July 2019.
