All Nippon Airways (ANA) is offering focaccia made with Kale grown from compost recycled from inflight meal waste and bamboo shoots. Read More » The Kale is being cultivated in Miyazaki prefecture as part of efforts to address the issue of abandoned bamboo groves. A third ANA initiative in its program to improve sustainability is taking rice out of circulation at its ANA Group Training Centre staff cafeteria. “The sustainability of the society we live in is just as important as the health of our customers,” ANA executive vice president customer experience management and planning, Tomoji Ishii, said. “With our sustainable approach to inflight meals, among other initiatives, we aim to make a difference in the world and inspire others to do the same.”
