Hong Kong eases quarantine rules for local air crew

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) no longer requires locally based air crew operating passenger flights to quarantine on re-entry to the HKSAR. Read More » Following testing for COVID-19 on arrival at Hong Kong International Airport, air crew can proceed directly home if they return a negative result to the virus. “These arrangements are consistent with the prevailing arrangements applicable to locally based cargo crew,” the HKSAR government said. “The government noted all locally based air crew members shall continue to comply with closed-loop arrangements during layovers at outports or Taiwan to avoid contact with the community in those places.” A Cathay Pacific spokesperson told the Reuters news agency the airline will gradually increase capacity following the introduction of the new air crew rule.
