Safran subsidiary signs contracts with Cathay Pacific and Philippine Airlines

Read More » It also will provide nacelles MRO facilities and access to spares for A321neo powered CFM International LEAP 1A engines operating in the fleets of Cathay Pacific and its LCC, HK Express. Both contracts are for five years. “These agreements will ensure asset availability and also reactivity because of the strategic storage locations of Safran Nacelles,” Cathay Pacific head of procurement, power plant and engineering services, Glenn Hodgson, said.
Separately, Philippine Airlines (PAL) has selected Safran Landing Systems for MRO on the landing gear of its 20 A320/A321 narrow-bodies and eight A330s. The contract is in place until 2024. “Philippine Airlines is pleased to forge this latest partnership with Safran Landing Systems as part of our top priority safety and maintenance campaigns that ensure the continued reliability of the Philippine Airlines fleet,” PAL chief financial officer and senior vice president of supply chain management, Alvin Kendrich Limqueco, said.
Both airline agreements were formalised at this week’s MRO Asia-Pacific exhibition and conference in Singapore.
