Read More » The global airline lobby group and Etihad Cargo will conduct a three-month trial of the calculator. The Abu Dhabi-headquartered airline will share data from flights and provide advice on various use cases to achieve the highest levels of accuracy, consistency and transparency. “Aviation will achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050. Our customers – travellers and shippers – need accurate information on the emissions related to their activities to manage their own commitments and reporting obligations,” IATA senior vice president for commercial products and services, Frederic Leger, said. “This trial with Etihad will help us in bringing an industry-leading carbon calculator for cargo in the coming months.” The tool for cargo flights follows IATA's June launch of its CO2 Connect tool for passenger flights.
