Malaysia drops face mask mandate for all airline passengers

Read More » The decision to remove the inflight mask wearing requirement follows a risk assessment, the minister said. Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), the parent company of Malaysia Airlines and Firefly welcomed the minister's decision and announced, with immediate effect, that masks inflight were optional on international flights except to destinations where mask usage remains mandated. “The airline, however, strongly encourages unwell passengers, high-risk individuals and those travelling with high-risk individuals to wear masks on board,” MAG said.
