The Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) has announced its Assembly of Presidents, in hiatus since 2019, will return in 2022 and be hosted in Bangkok by Thai Airways International (THAI). Read More » The last Assembly of Presidents was in Jeju in 2018. The 2019 assembly was cancelled due to security concerns in Hong Kong and the 2020 and 2021 gatherings were not held because of onerous border entry rules brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. The AAPA Assembly of Presidents is the major event of the association’s calendar where chief executives of member airlines and leaders in aviation gather for high level discussions and networking, an AAPA website statement said. “The AAPA and Thai Airways International look forward to welcoming delegates to Bangkok for another successful event.” The 2022 AP is scheduled for November 10 and November 11.
